Logistics
Logistics: Shrinkage and operating costs reduce with video
People who work in the transport industry are usually alone on long journeys. If the goods being transported are also valuable, then there is a temptation to help oneself — at the cost of the logistics company and its customers. Large losses are also incurred as a result of vehicle misuse for private purposes and inefficient driving styles. Special specification video systems offer a remedy.
Monitoring cash transporters
Live monitoring and documenting of loading and unloading procedures with special SilverLine devices offer effective deterrence against theft and negligent handling of valuable goods. Video transmission can utilize the (often already available) GPRS connection. The video system can also be linked to both the GPS system and a locking system which determines in advance where and when which doors can be opened. Besides this, acceleration detectors can be used to prevent the inappropriate or abusive handling of the vehicles. The recordings, which are encrypted using a digital signature, are suitable for evidential purposes and often enable blame to be correctly apportioned when damage is caused.
